Anne E. Thompson | Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home ...

Anne E. Thompson, 57, of St. Paul died Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Howard County Medical Center in St. Paul.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul. The Reverends Ray Kosmicki and Michael McDermott will officiate. Burial will be held in Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul. Visitation will be from 5:00 ? 7:00 p.m., Sunday with a wake service at 6:30 p.m. at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.

Memorials are suggested to the family?s choice.

Anne was born July 30, 1955 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Martin and Doris (Dembowski) Sack.

In her early years, she lived on a farm near St. Paul. The family moved to a farm near Fullerton where she received her education and she graduated from Fullerton High School in 1973.

Anne was united in marriage to Edward Thompson on February 9, 1974 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul.

After marriage she attended college classes and received her LPN Degree at Platte Community College in Columbus and her RN Degree from Central Community College in Grand Island.

She worked as a nurse at Fullerton, Grand Island and St. Paul. She most recently worked at Heritage Living Center in St. Paul where she worked until her health forced her to retire. She especially enjoyed her work at Heritage Living Center in St. Paul.

Anne was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul and of the American Nursing Association.

She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, ceramics and scrapbooking. She bought and learned to ride a motorcycle and especially loved riding to Colorado and Sturgis with her husband. She collected Blue Willow and Cherished Teddy Bears. Anne loved baking, especially Christmas cookies. She thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas holiday. She had a special love for planning family events and get-togethers.

Anne is survived by her husband, Ed of St. Paul; two sons, Jeremy and wife Jackie Thompson of St. Paul and Andy and fianc? Stacy Smith of Palmer; two daughters & son-in-law, Lacey & Matt Bonner of Grand Island and Jessica Thompson of St. Paul; eight grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Don & Bev Sack of Dannebrog, Jim & Sandy Sack of Fullerton and Kenny & April Sack of St. Edward; one sister & brother-in-law, Carol & Randy Williams of St. Paul and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Hope Jennifer Thompson and two brothers, Frank & Thomas Sack.
